Join us this fall as teaching artist Aidan Bieber takes students’ creativity and imagination to the next level! This introductory class to 3D graphics is perfect for students who love games and enjoy creating characters, environments, and stories. Students will explore the process of bringing their ideas from paper to the digital world while learning the fundamentals of world-building, character design, storytelling, and 3D modeling. During the first four weeks, students will design original worlds, environments, characters, and visual stories on paper. They’ll explore the basics of world-building, character concepts, storytelling, and drawing as they develop their own creative ideas. In the second four weeks, students will begin exploring 3D digital art using Blender, a free 3D modeling software. They’ll learn the basics of 3D modeling by bringing characters from the worlds they created on paper into the digital space. No prior 3D modeling experience is necessary—just a willingness to imagine, create, and explore! Full and Partial Scholarship options are available. Scholarship item will appear during checkout if you complete the scholarship section of registration, are eligible, and if remaining scholarships are still available.
