Youth Sew Fun builds upon the machine sewing skills acquired in Youth Intro to Sewing Machine. In this four-week course, students will advance their sewing techniques and take the exciting leap to complete a more involved sewing project. While we will continue to hone our sewing machine skills, focus will be on learning additional sewing techniques and working to complete an individual project piece. This class is taught by Sheila Moore and meets Tuesdays, 5:30 - 7:00 pm, October 29 - November 18. If you have a working sewing machine at home, you are encouraged to bring it to use in class. If not, we have sewing machines for you to use. Sew Fun 101 is a prerequisite for this class. If your child has not taken Sew Fun 101 but already knows how to use the sewing machine, please contact REACH to evaluate if this class is the best fit for your child. Students who can do the following will get the most out of this class: Participants in Sew Fun course may attend a free, Open Sewing Lab drop-in where participants can bring in their own sewing projects to work on, get help with troubleshooting, and get sewing ideas from sewing experts! Full and Partial Scholarship options are available. Scholarship item will appear during checkout if you complete the scholarship section of registration, are eligible, and if remaining scholarships are still available.
