About This Activity
Think big. Paint bold. Create beyond the edges! Teaching artist Autumn Hopkins will guide students in transforming large blank surfaces into expressive works of art using recycled materials and paint. Through exploration of collage, painting, and printmaking, students will layer techniques learned each day to build dynamic, large-scale compositions. As they experiment with composition, pattern, texture, and scale, young artists will develop creative confidence and discover how to turn small ideas into a “Grandiose Masterpiece” that reflects their unique artistic voice. Campers will leave with a stunning finished piece and the skills to think (and create) on a whole new scale.
