In this hands-on, two-day firing workshop, participants will learn glazing techniques and assist in firing their pots. Participants will be limited to firing up to 5 pots that are already bisque-fired and no larger than 8” in any direction. Prior experience is helpful but not necessary. All levels. Glazes will be provided.Day 1 (11/7) - Glaze DayDay 2 (11/8) - Firing Day
Supplies needed: bisque fired pieces. Pieces made with Raku clay are preferable, as this will prevent cracking due to thermal shock. Raku clay is available for purchase at the front desk of the LCAC. Community glazes and tools will be provided. All levels.
On Fri Nov 7, participants will be glazing and on Sat Nov 8, participants will be firing their pieces.
Clothing Requirements: closed toe shoes and long pants.
