Is adventure your true North? Build and grow your outdoor skills in Trailblazer Club. Each month we will work on developing skills in diverse hiking styles, camping, outdoor preparedness and survival, and environmental stewardship. Join us at Trailblazer Club and discover the thrill of outdoor adventure while honing skills that will benefit you for life. Whether you're an experienced outdoor enthusiast or new to the world of outdoor exploration, Trailblazer Club welcomes you to embark on this exciting journey with us. What to Expect: Monthly Skill Development: Each month, Trailblazer Club focuses on different outdoor skills. From mastering orienteering techniques to learning survival camping essentials and trail hiking strategies, every session is designed to deepen your outdoor proficiency. Meeting Structure: Monthly meetings begin with a classroom-style session where you'll acquire essential knowledge and skills pertinent to that month's focus. Following the indoor session, we venture out to local areas, applying what you've learned in a practical outdoor setting. Transportation is provided to and from off-site locations. Flexible Attendance: We understand the demands of schedules. Although regular attendance is encouraged to maximize your learning and experience, it's not mandatory to attend every session. Each month stands alone with its own unique set of skills to learn and practice. April Details: Outdoor Skills: Learn about knot tying and another activity of your choice Off-site Hiking Location: Channahon State Park This is a day event and does not include an overnight. A snack is provided as part of this event. Participants should bring a lunch from home. This program is designed for troops or individuals without an adult chaperone. This is a drop off event.
