A woodland classroom spent skill building, adventuring, and creating connections with our local wildness. Throughout the year we will seek to learn from, to live on, and to move across the land with knowledge and appreciation. The year will progress through several multi-week Blocks framed by the seasons and subjects like outdoor leadership, forest skills, and story crafting. Within these structured Blocks, spontaneity and unique daily encounters will inspire our investigations of ourselves and the outdoors. Although community will be at the core of our knowledge sharing, we will promote individual pursuits and have expectations for work at home between days, such as applicable readings, awareness practices, and material gathering. The program will be a mix of in-place learning and strategic wandering. Tuesdays will center around our base camp in Leverett. Fridays we will meet at various locations around the valley within 10 miles of our Tuesday camp. Join us for this year of questioning and questing!
