DAY 1
Our Black and Gold pilgrimage to the Steel City begins as you meet your guide and enjoy lunch included atop Mt. Washington which boasts one of the best skyline views in the world. Have your camera ready for a breathtaking view! After lunch, you'll take a historic, round-trip ride on the iconic Duquesne Incline, soaking in the city's unique history and viewing the skyline that USA Today ranked as the second-most beautiful interior view in America. The afternoon continues with a leisurely Gateway Clipper sightseeing cruise down the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers, giving you an unparalleled perspective of the city's toughness and architecture from the water. Along the way, the captain and onboard narrator share interesting stories from the city's history and fun tidbits about the Pittsburgh rivers and scenery (a Cash Bar is available to purchase cocktails during the cruise). After returning to shore, you board the motorcoach for check-in at the Drury Plaza Hotel Pittsburgh Downtown (412-281-2900) for an overnight stay.
