About This Activity
Learn to use your basic crochet skills to create an adorable crochet stuffed animal. Amigurumi is the Japanese art of creating stuffed figures using crochet. In this class, you will learn how to create the basic shapes used to make most Ami figures. We will have a pattern to follow but there will be plenty of opportunities to customize it and make it your own. Students must have basic crochet skills, we will be primarily using single crochet, and very basic hand sewing skills. Students should bring at least one skein of worsted weight yarn, I recommend cotton, a 3.5 or 4mm crochet hook and a yarn needle to class. Stitch markers might also be helpful but are not necessary.
