Inspire your little inventor to transform grand visions into practical creations! Throughout this semester-long, interactive enrichment course, elementary students in grades 3–5 will enter the Innovation Lab to solve genuine problems within our school and surrounding community. Using their imagination and curiosity, students will learn how to approach challenges with empathy and creativity. By following the steps of the Design Thinking process—Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test—teams will work together to investigate real-world needs and develop ingenious concepts. From drafting initial designs to constructing physical models using a variety of lab equipment and materials, participants will explore engineering basics and the exciting world of rapid prototyping. It’s a hands-on journey where every mistake is a chance to learn and every idea has potential. At the conclusion of the session, young makers will have gained more than just technical knowledge; they will have completed a physical project aimed at leaving a meaningful, positive mark on their environment. Come ready to think outside the box, collaborate with friends, and build something truly amazing!
