About This Activity
This is an introductory ballet course for your little mover, designed to develop foundational skills applicable even outside of the dance studio, such as rhythm, coordination, flexibility, body control, and spatial awareness. Students will learn basic ballet terminology, identify major body parts, and master the five positions of the feet and arms. The class covers essential movements such as plié, élevé, relevé, tendu, piqué, dégagé, sauté, échappé, and chassé, along with an introduction to stage directions. No prior experience required. Total Sessions - 13 IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT REFUNDS We regret that we cannot refund registration fees once paid. Makeup lessons for group classes, will not be available. Should FCDS transition to remote virtual learning, the school will assess its After School Enrichment programs to determine if they can be offered virtually. If a program cannot transition to a virtual platform, refunds will be issued accordingly. If a session continues virtually, then no refunds nor partial refunds will be processed in the event of this transition if a participant wishes not to continue to finish the session virtually.
