The VEX IQ camp is a half-day week-long camp for grades 5-9. Participants will dive into engineering concepts through hands-on STEM exploration. Participants will work in small teams to explore the fundamentals of robotics, engineering, and problem-solving. Using the VEX IQ platform, participants will design, build, test, and refine their robots and complete challenges. Participants will begin with block-based coding and, by the end of the week, explore using Python. By the end of camp, participants will 1) develop foundational skills in robotics and coding, 2) apply the engineering design process to design, program, and test solutions to real-world engineering challenges using the VEX IQ platform, and 3) demonstrate STEM dispositions of perseverance, collaboration, and critical thinking.
