The VEX IQ camp is a half-day, week-long camp for grades 3-5. Participants will be introduced to engineering concepts and design thinking through hands-on STEM exploration. Participants will work in small teams to explore the fundamentals of robotics, engineering, and problem-solving. Using the VEX IQ platform, participants will assemble robots and use block-based coding. Participants will program their robots to move and complete challenges. By the end of camp, participants will 1) develop foundational skills in robotics and coding, 2) apply the engineering design process to test engineering ideas, and 3) demonstrate STEM dispositions of perseverance, collaboration, and critical thinking.
