About This Activity
In this workshop, students will make nature inspired wearable monotype shirts. By using a special bleach extraction solution that creates a reverse printing process on cotton fabrics and working with botanicals and other design inspired materials, will allow students to create unique wearable pieces of printed art. Participants will need to bring at least one 100% cotton shirt in a dark color such as black, brown, navy, purple. Lighter colors will work but will have less guaranteed contrast. Less costly shirts work best. It is also fine to bring cotton fabric to create sections to use in other clothing or quilts.
