8 sessions x 75 minute classes Friday - Dec 5, 12 | Jan 9, 16, 23, 30 | Feb 6, 13 In this exciting 8-week painting class young artists explore the styles of famous painters from around the world. Each week, students will learn about a legendary artist—like Van Gogh, Monet, O’Keeffe, and Kandinsky—and recreate iconic works using kid-friendly painting techniques. While building foundational skills in brushwork, color mixing, and composition, children will also express their own creativity through vibrant, nature-inspired and abstract paintings. By the end of the session, every child will have a beautiful collection of masterpieces—and a deeper appreciation for the art world! SAMPLE SCHEDULE: 1. Week 1 - Almond Blossoms - inspired by Van Gogh 2. Week 2 - Sunset - Inspired by Monet 3. Week 3 - Abstract art - inspired by Kandinsky 4. Week 4 - Secret artist - will be revealed during the class 5. Week 5 - Bridge - Inspired by Monet 6. Week 6 - Flower closeup - inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe 7. Week 7 - Secret artist - will be revealed during the class 8. Week 8 - Starry Night - Inspired by Van Gogh Please note that project selections and their sequence may be adjusted at the instructor’s discretion to best support the learning experience. All supplies, including aprons/smock, will be provided to the students.
