This is a FULL DAY camp combining Olympic Chess and Young Innovators & Entrepreneurs. Children will need to bring a lunch and a water bottle,

Olympic Chess
We've designed a high-energy, stimulating approach to chess that is great for all ages. Classes open with a series of puzzles on a certain topic, and then students play each other and challenge the instructor. Beginner students will learn piece types, movements, captures, positioning, basic strategies, piece values, strategic sacrifices, and algebraic notation. Advanced students delve into openings like Scotch game or Queen's Gambit, tactics such as pins, forks, skewers, and variants like Chess960. Each class culminates in a tournament where participants each receive a trophy.
Young Innovators & Entrepreneurs
Join us in an energetic, hands-on program designed for students in grades K-6 that sparks creativity and introduces the fundamentals of business and inventing. In this course, young learners engage in interactive activities that foster innovative thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. They learn to generate creative ideas, design simple prototypes, and develop basic business plans, while also exploring the history of big business- from pioneering inventions to modern startups. By examining how groundbreaking innovations transformed industries, students gain a broader perspective on entrepreneurship and discover that challenges are opportunities for innovation. This program not only builds essential practical skills but also cultivates curiosity, communication, and confidence, inspiring kids to become the creative leaders and entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
