About This Activity

Friday - Aug 28 | Sept 4, 11, 18, 25 | Oct 2, 30 | Nov 6, 13, 20 No Classes - Conference Week Oct 9 and 16 | No School Oct 23 10 sessions x 60 minutes Calling all young engineers and electricity explorers! In this hands-on 10-week adventure led by Ms. Gor, students in Grades 1–3 will use colorful, easy-to-connect Snap Circuits pieces to build real, working electronic projects — no wires, no soldering, no prior experience needed. Just snap the pieces together and watch the magic happen! Each week, students tackle a new build — from simple circuits to gadgets that light up, spin, and make noise — while discovering the basic principles of electricity along the way. It's STEM made playful: kids don't just learn how circuits work, they feel it click into place as their creations come to life right in front of them. A peek at the journey: • 🔋 Circuit Basics — What makes a circuit "complete," and why it matters • 💡 Let There Be Light — Building simple light-up circuits and switches • 🔊 Sound Effects — Creating buzzers, alarms, and musical circuits • 🌀 Motors in Motion — Snapping together circuits that spin, whirl, and move • 📡 Sensors & Switches — Exploring how circuits respond to touch, light, and sound • 🚀 Final Builds — Combining skills into a student-designed showcase project Along the way, students build more than circuits — they build problem-solving skills, patience, and the confidence to tinker, test, and try again when something doesn't work the first time. No experience necessary. All Snap Circuits equipment is provided — students just bring their curiosity and a willingness to experiment! By the end of 10 weeks, your student won't just understand how electricity powers the world around them — they'll have built it themselves.
