Description
Campers with Special Needs ages 6 -17 with mild to moderate disabilities. Parents and Aides are welcome. Parking is available at the Farm. Deer Hollow Farm is the perfect destination for summer fun and learning! From close encounters with Farm animals, exciting nature experiences, fun with new friends, and plenty of arts and crafts projects, you'll have a summer you won't forget. The Farm is a 10-acre historical homestead nestled in 3,800 acres of wilderness preserve located in the Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve.
FARM AND WILDERNESS: The 10-acre Farm is located in the Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve. Campers may have the opportunity to see wildlife at a distance in their habitats. The Farm is home to goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits, chickens and a cow.
CLOTHING: Wear clothes that can get dirty. Wear strong, durable shoes that can get dirty and possibly wet.
ALLERGIES/MEDICAL: If your child has any special allergies or medical problems, please contact Deer Hollow Farm beforehand or notify the Camp staff on the first day of camp.
ELECTRONICS: Please leave all electronic devices at home. Please note that Deer Hollow Farm and the City of Mountain View are not responsible for any lost, damaged or stolen electronic devices.
LUNCH: Pack a no-garbage lunch, use reusable food containers and bring your drink in a reusable plastic bottle. Your child should be prepared to bring their garbage home.
DIRECTIONS TO THE PERMIT LOT:
1. Follow Cristo Rey Drive in Cupertino to the Rancho San Antonio County Park entrance.
2. Keep right as you enter the park, go down the hill to the main parking (restrooms will be on the right).
3. Continue straight and drive through the open gate marked ?Authorized Vehicles Only?. Please note speed limit is 15MPH in the park.
4. Drive for 7/10 of a mile until you reach the dirt Permit Parking Lot (on right).
Summer Camp permit slip must be completed and returned to Deer Hollow Farm by the first day of camp. This form is intended for family members/ aides accompanying registered Special Needs Campers.

I hereby grant permission for my child to participate in the recreation activity described above and agree to hold harmless the City of Mountain View, Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District, Santa Clara County, and their agents, employees and officers, and any community organization cosponsoring the program, from and against any and all liability for all injury, cost or expenses, including reasonable attorney?s fees incurred as a result of his/her participation in the program named above. It is understood by both parties that these programs enter semi-wilderness areas with certain environmental hazards such as uneven landscape, wooded areas, poison oak, wildlife, bees and rattlesnakes.
