About This Activity
This summer math course is designed to strengthen foundational skills and build confidence in rising 5th-grade students as they prepare for the expectations of fifth-grade math. Students will review important concepts, practice problem-solving strategies, and build accuracy and fluency through guided practice and support. Math practice will be an important part of the course, but students will also explore ideas through discussion, hands-on activities, and real-world math situations that help concepts feel more meaningful. The goal is to reinforce key skills, strengthen mathematical thinking, and help students start the school year feeling prepared and confident.
