About This Activity
This workshop-style camp introduces older elementary and middle school students to foundational guitar skills and music appreciation. Students learn proper guitar handling, basic strumming techniques, and introductory chords, and apply these skills by playing along with simple songs. The camp also includes music listening and discussion activities that explore rhythm, tempo, and musical styles. Students leave with basic guitar-playing skills and an increased understanding of music.
