About This Activity
The LU Cyber Camp is open to rising 9th-12th graders, for the 25-26 academic year, with an interest in the world of Cybersecurity. The curriculum is designed for students with limited computer experience. At the LU Cyber Camp, students will: -Learn and apply Cybersecurity Concepts. -Cover the ethical limitations of activities in Cybersecurity. -Perform basic system administration tasks. -Apply security best practices to harden operating systems. -Deploy basic firewall rules in response to active attackers. -Identify the major security issues faced by websites and web applications. -Identify sources of intrusion and take steps to remediate. -Learn the basic vocabulary and definition of terms related to Cybersecurity.
