***Note*** - Anyone who is currently on an official Liberty University Hockey team cannot register for this league. You must NOT be a current LU hockey player (Men's or Women's) The LaHaye Ice Center Student Rec Hockey League offers students of Liberty University the opportunity to play the game of hockey in a recreational capacity. The purpose of the league is to allow students of all abilities to play in a fun, noncompetitive environment and enjoy the game of hockey. To reinforce this idea, the LICSRHL is a co-ed, non-checking hockey league and will be officiated by USA Hockey Certified Officials. The goal is to expand to four teams this season and allow for a 16 game season plus play offs. The format will be eight games in the fall semester and eight games in the spring semester followed by playoff format which is still being determined. Additional Information: At the start of each game, all students will be checked in at the front desk at the LIC and be given a jersey for the game. This is to ensure that only players registered in the league will be playing in each game as well as ensure any player who has been suspended or removed from the league does not get on the ice. All players must bring full equipment (helmet, gloves, pants, shoulder pads, elbow pads, shin guards, skates and sticks, protective cup). Anyone found to be missing any of these items will be asked to leave the ice surface until all protective equipment is worn. *Fall 2025 Dates will be announced at a later time.
