About This Activity
Madison will participate in the Jefferson District Youth Football (JDYFL) League. The target age group is 9-11 years old. Participants cannot turn 12 before 8/1/2025. There is a maximum of 30 participants. Tryouts will be held if there are more than 30 who register. Practices will be 2-4 days a week for the first month week of the season, moving to 2 days a week during the school year. Games will be played primarily on Saturdays with the possibility of one or two Sunday games in Madison or the Charlottesville area. Participants MUST have a current VHSL physical on file dated after May 1, 2026. NEW - JDYFL is requiring legal photo ID for participants through the DMV. Please be prepared to provide valid photo IDs this year. Please purchase a girdle with knee pads, mouthguard, cleats, and gloves. Participants will also need to bring a water bottle to each practice and game.
