About This Activity
Discover hands-on DIY with our mini greenhouse project. In this project, you learn carpentry using hand tools like hammers, nails, and wood glue to craft your own wooden greenhouse. You will also use a thermoforming machine to shape a transparent dome, blending craftmanship and manufacturing. This is your chance to learn, create, and bond with your family while discovering the magic of plants and tools. This project is open to students 10-15 years old, with a parent or chaperone (18+) required. The cost is $40 per student, but thanks to BAE Systems' partnership with the Design Challenge, participants will receive a 50% discount this year. In addition to the hands-on experience, students will also learn about the Fab Lab Design Challenge. Registration is now open on Active, with space available for up to 10 students.
