About This Activity
Learn iconic dance numbers from some of your favorite shows in this musical theater dance workshop! Each week will feature a different piece of well-known choreography. The class will start with a jazz warmup and technique related to that week's dance. The final week will culminate in a presentation showcasing what students have learned. Some basic dance/movement experience preferred but not necessary - just a desire to learn! Ages 11-15 Dress code/shoes: Jazz shoes or sneakers with soft soles, and comfortable clothing for stretching, moving and jumping. Length: Four 1 1/2-hour sessions meet on Wednesdays - Feb 26, March 5, 12, 19, 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm. A showcase presentation will follow the March 19 session. Class cost: $175 per student
