The Junior Rowing High Performance program is for experienced rowers who are ready to take their training to the next level. With a focus on refining technique, improving rowing fitness, and honing racing skills, the camp culminates in a trip to the US Rowing Rowfest National Championships in Michigan, which takes place within the window of July 11-19. Athletes will train from 7:00am-9:00am, Monday-Saturday, with some pre and post set-up and breakdown. This is a day camp only. The schedule is designed for the flexibility of athletes to secure a job/internship or attend summer classes. Training will focus largely on sculling, but some sweep opportunities will be available. The camp cost covers all practice sessions, equipment usage, boat trailering, entry fees and coaches’ regatta costs (subject to minimum enrollment), but it does not cover hotel fees or transportation costs to or at the regatta. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at rowing@calyachtclub.com if you have any specific questions.
