About This Activity
The mission of the Augusta Prep Volleyball Camp is to teach the fundamental skills, and enhance the advanced skills of volleyball in a competitive and fun environment. Coach Rich Bland's Augusta Prep All Skills Volleyball camp is designed for girls entering grades 5-12 who have an interest in learning to play volleyball and/or improve their volleyball skills. Campers will have an opportunity for one-on-one and group instruction in hitting, serving, digging, setting, passing, and offensive and defensive concepts. Campers will also have the opportunity to apply these skills during drills and games. About Coach Rich Bland: The camp director and lead instructor is Coach Rich Bland who is the head varsity volleyball coach at Augusta Prep. Coach Bland was a full scholarship UCLA volleyball player, and member of the 1993 Division I National Championship team. Coach Bland has 30+ years of volleyball experience and a twenty two year coaching record at Augusta Prep of 424-174, including seventeen region championships, sixteen GISA/GIAA Final Four appearances, four State Runner Ups and TWO GISA State Championships in 2006 & 2007. Each camper will receive a performance material camp T-Shirt. Each camper must bring their own water bottle and snack each day.
