About This Activity
In this program, kids will learn the basics of chess, openings, strategy and several chess-variant games like zombie chess and two-time chess. Beginning with free play to evaluate familiarity and comfort level, we will layer-in skills and work with kids to learn to apply them to game play. They will play variant games as a great way to keep learners interested and chess extra fun and playful.
