About This Activity
New Semester. New Projects. Bigger Challenges! Ms. McCombs and Wize are back for another semester of hands-on STEAM exploration! Students in grades 3–6 will tackle exciting new challenges in engineering, robotics, coding, and design, bringing classroom learning to life through projects aligned with Virginia's Standards of Learning (SOL). This isn't your average robotics class. Students might build robotic pollinators to explore ecosystems, design motorized vehicles to investigate force and motion, or program sensors to navigate obstacles. Each lesson combines academic concepts with hands-on building, purposeful coding, and creative problem-solving, reinforcing science, math, and computational thinking. Returning students will explore all-new projects, while newcomers are welcome to join! With **minimal screen time and maximum hands-on engagement**, Wize transforms children from technology users into confident creators and innovators. 17 sessions covering January- May Tuition is non-refundable. Wize follows FCPS Weather-related closures. Makeup classes due to inclement weather are attempted but not guaranteed due to logistics.
