About This Activity
Rong’s Kung Fu Academy offers Chinese Shaolin Kung Fu classes (also known as Chinese Martial Arts or Wushu). Master Rong teaches a modified version of Shaolin Kung Fu, which is an ancient Chinese Kung Fu system. Our students build physical stamina and agility through learning and practicing basic skills such as stretching, push-ups, jumping, and tumbling. Additionally, our training includes the fundamentals of Shaolin Kung Fu techniques and forms. All students will take belt tests at the end of the session. Each student will receive a belt and certificate upon passing. BIM students have opportunities to perform at school community events like the Lunar New Year Celebration and International Day. Primary grade students can perform in DC areas and might be able to compete in state, regional, and nationwide tournaments. Master Rong will communicate directly with parents if these opportunities are available. All students must have a Kung Fu uniform and shoes. Kung Fu for students in grades 1- 3 must have appropriate gloves as well. All items are available for purchase at the time of registration through ACTIVE.
