About This Activity
Description
In Stemtree’s Coding After School Program, students will have the opportunity to code using either Python or Scratch, depending on their grade levels. Students in Grades 1-3 will use Scratch, whereas those in Grade 4 and up will code in Python. Scratch is a highly visual programming language designed for younger students, while Python is one of the most popular programming languages used in data science and machine learning. Our program enhances critical thinking and problem-solving skills through engaging activities. We teach students how to create and develop computer programs (games, stories, etc.) instead of playing them. Students who previously attended Stemtree programs will have different activities and continue learning new STEM concepts based on their prior work with us.Instructor: Stemtree
