About This Activity
Science Olympiad promotes interest and critical thinking in STEM and fosters teamwork. Under the school team, smaller student units (of 1-3 persons) compete in ‘events’ pertaining to various scientific disciplines, including earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. Events are knowledge-based (taking a test or mathematically analyzing data), engineering-based (constructing a device following specific parameters and testing it against others), or lab-based (performing experiments to achieve certain goals).
