About This Activity
Description
The Summer Youth Basketball Skills Program is a fun, inclusive program designed for boys and girls ages 7–14 in the Mecca community. This program focuses on building fundamental basketball skills while promoting confidence, teamwork, discipline, and a love for the game.
Participants will receive age‑appropriate instruction in dribbling, passing, shooting, footwork, defense, and basic game play. Sessions are structured to support all skill levels. Whether a participant is brand new to basketball or looking to improve their existing skills. This clinic will run two days a week. Activities emphasize learning through movement, teamwork, and positive encouragement in a safe and supportive environment. One day of skills practice and another day of game play.
Beyond basketball skills, the program encourages physical activity, healthy habits, and positive social development. Coaches and staff serve as mentors, creating an atmosphere where youth feel confident, supported, and motivated to grow on and off the court.
This summer program aims to provide accessible, high‑quality recreational opportunities for local youth while strengthening community connections and keeping kids active, engaged, and having fun during the summer months.
