About This Activity
The campers begin the day with a general warm-up of 15-20 minutes; then, they head to their morning rotations until lunchtime. They have an hour's lunch break at noon to eat and rest until 1:00 pm. The campers then warm up after lunch break for 15-20 minutes and go to their afternoon rotations finishing up the events they didn't get to in the morning. On day one of camp, we explain the gym rules to the campers before beginning camp. After warm-ups, the coaches are stationed at each event, supervising the campers on their specific events. The campers will do every event, Vault, Bars, Beam, and Floor, plus a dance rotation and conditioning (throughout the week) and a yoga session at the end of one of the camp days. Dominique believes gymnasts truly can benefit from yoga to influence their gymnastics to increase their mobility and flexibility and learn how to breathe better. The benefits of yoga are lifelong, and introducing it to children through our camp is excellent for each child's overall health. A certified 200 or 500-hour registered yoga teacher (RYT) will teach the yoga class. ***ALL CAMPERS WILL RECEIVE AN OLYMPIAN/SPECIAL GUEST 8X10 PHOTO + T-SHIRT WITH THEIR CAMP FEE*** Join us for your children's dance and skills performance on the last day of camp from 3:15-4:00 pm. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Some FAQS What age does my child have to be to come to camp? Ages 6-18. What is the camper-to-staff ratio? At all our camps, the camper-to-staff ratio is ten or 11:1. We realize the importance of supervision and like to keep our ratios manageable for the coaches. Plus, we do our best to have floater coaches available when accessible. Will campers be able to get photos and personalized autographs of the Olympians? Yes, there will be a designated time for a Q&A with our Olympians and a photo and autograph session. Will campers meet Olympians? There will be an Olympian/Special Guest at each camp session.
