About This Activity
Campers are introduced to the world of beauty and self-care in a safe and playful environment. In this hands-on camp we will embark on a journey of exploration and creativity as they learn basic beauty techniques and grooming skills. Students will learn about shampooing, conditioning, blow drying and maintaining styles. From creating fun hairstyles to experimenting with braiding and twist, students will have the opportunity to express their individuality and unleash their inner glam. Along the way, they'll learn the importance of self-expression, self-care, and confidence-building, fostering a positive relationship with personal grooming and beauty rituals. Students will take part in creating lip balm, natural face masks, body scrubs and more.Outer beauty goes hand and hand with inner confidence so we will discuss self esteemand public speaking exercises. Instructor Heiress Brown holds a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design with over 17 years of experience working in after-school programs and summer camps. My passion lies in fostering creativity and teaching hands-on skills that inspire young minds to explore their artistic potential. I’m excited to bring my expertise and enthusiasm to this year’s summer camp program! I have taught sewing and design at LaSalle College in Shanghai, as well as in Georgia, Florida, and Tennessee. It has also been a pleasure to work as a freelancer on tv and films production with Henrietta lacks & Black Panther.
