In this fun, hands-on three-day cooking class, students in grades 3–5 will learn the basics of cooking. Students will practice kitchen safety, proper handwashing, simple measuring skills, and how to follow a recipe step by step. Each day, they will help prepare easy, age-appropriate recipes while building confidence, teamwork, and independence in the kitchen. This class is designed to encourage curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning practical life skills. This class is taught by Annabelle Amy, a former Harding Academy student. She has experience working as a Harding Academy summer camp counselor and has a genuine love for working with children. Annabelle is passionate about healthy eating and is currently a sophomore at Harding University, where she is majoring in nursing.
