About This Activity
This is a 4-day adventure that invites your child to discover the miracle of how they are "fearfully and wonderfully made" by God. During this fun week, your child will explore God’s incredible design for their bodies. Day 1: My Marvelous Masterpiece – We kick off the week by celebrating God’s design! Campers will create life-size body maps and use music and art to identify the amazing parts that make them "Me." Day 2: The Five Senses Detective Agency – Using our eyes, ears, noses, and hands, we’ll go on a sensory scavenger hunt to explore the world exactly how God intended us to. Day 3: My Unique Signature – No two people are the same! We’ll use magnifying glasses to explore the miracle of fingerprints and celebrate the one-of-a-kind "signature" God gave each child. Day 4: A Joyful Heart – We’ll learn that "a joyful heart is good medicine" as we explore our emotions, practice our "brave faces," and learn how to share our feelings with others. By celebrating their Creator’s handiwork, your little explorer will gain the confidence, healthy habits, and sense of wonder needed to care for the marvelous masterpiece He created them to be! Ashley Gross teaches this class. Ashley has a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies, with experience in primary care and emergency medicine. She is currently teaching science courses in the Upper School at Harding Academy. She is a mom to three little Lions.
