Hop aboard the Hogwarts Express and prepare to explore new magical stories set in the wizarding world. Students will study acting, movement, and character development based around familiar characters, settings, and stories from the beloved book series. Script analysis, character study, blocking, and scene partnering are just some of the valuable acting skills that we will build on in this class. Full-day camp students should be sent to YTN with a packed lunch and two snacks that do not need to be in a refrigerator or microwaved. Youth Theatre Northwest is committed to creating a kinder, more inclusive community for students from all walks of life. We do not agree with or wish to promote J. K. Rowling's views on transgender identities, but acknowledge the value and popularity of the Harry Potter stories. To that end, YTN pledges to donate to organizations that support transgender and gender non-conforming youth at the end of our summer season. For more information about how to talk about gender with your child, visit the How To Talk To your Children About Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation page on our website.
