About This Activity
Traditional Japanese karate with a long history of respect and discipline. Classes will include traditional Karate exercises including jackknives and push-ups. Students will participate in warm-up exercises, and introduction of katas and will practice the techniques learned. Students will gain flexibility, coordination, posture, and stamina. Dress for first class: Sweat pants and a shirt allowing freedom of movement. Karate Gi (uniform) will be required for continued classes. Belt testing and ceremony will be conducted at the end of each three-month term.
