Leaders in Training (LIT) program is designed to develop leadership skills in you, by providing them with training and opportunities to practice leadership roles in a supervised camp setting, where you learn skills like decision-making, communication, conflict resolution, and teamwork while assisting with activities and mentoring younger participants all preparing you to be a future camp counselor and leader. HOW TO ENROLL Call Carls Family YMCA at 248-685-3020 Email Camp Director at andrew.mcinerney@ymcadetroit.org PRICING - 5 days of LIT camp start at $200 for members and $275 for non-members - A one-time Registration Fee of $25 will be charged - Each week requires a non-refundable, non-transferable pre-paid deposit of $20 - Early Registration - YMCA Members who register before 05/01/2026 for camp can save $20 off each week of camp. - Sibling Discount - YMCA Members who register multiple children will receive a 10% discount for each week. (Starting with the second child.) CANCELLATION POLICY When you enroll your child in our programs, you are reserving space, time, supplies, field trips, and staffing whether or not your camper attends the program. To cancel all or part of your registration, please submit your request, in writing, to the Youth and Family Director at your local YMCA. The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit will use the following deadlines when processing your cancelation: - Written Notice Received by 12/31/2025: 100% of paid program fees will be credited to your YMCA account and can be used for future programs at the YMCA. A request for a refund to your bank can be made in person at your local YMCA branch. *Registration fees and Deposits are non-transferable and non-refundable* - Written Notice received on or after 01/31/2026: No credits or refunds will be given on program fees. *Registration fees and Deposits are non-transferable and non-refundable* A $50 cancellation fee per child, per week will apply. - Written Notice received on or after 04/01/2026: No credits or refunds will be given on program fees. *Registration fees and Deposits are non-transferable and non-refundable* A $100 cancellation fee per child, per week will apply.
