About This Activity
Description
Get ready to dig in! In collaboration with Colorado State University's Horticulture Program, young gardeners will get hands-on experience learning how plants grow and what it takes to care for a garden. Throughout this four-class series, participants will split their time between the classroom and the garden, combining fun lessons with plenty of opportunities to get their hands in the dirt!
Participants will plant and grow their own leafy greens while learning about topics like seeds, soil, plant care, and the growing process along the way.
With two classes in September and two in October, kids will have the chance to watch their plants grown and learn how a garden can change over time.
This program will begin in the Big Thompson Community Rooms and will conclude on the east side of the Milliken Athletic Complex at our new garden.
Please have participants in clothing that can get messy!
*There are no refunds after the second class.
