The 2026 Summer Program focuses on advancing your dancer's technical and artistic abilities rapidly within a three-week period. Level 1 has a 1.5 hour daily ballet technique class, which is followed by contemporary, choreography, repertoire, and strength and conditioning or pre-pointe. There will also be weekly character, jazz, and arts and craft classes. It is important to note that Level 1 will have at least two breaks during the day, two shorter snack breaks, and a longer lunch. Here is an example of a typical Level 1 day: LEVEL 1 (8-10) Time Ballet technique 9:30-11:00 am Break 11:00-11:15 am Contemporary or choreography 11:15-12:45 pm Lunch 12:45-1:45 pm Stretch & Strength/Pre-Pointe 1:45-2:45 pm Break 2:45-3 pm Various (character, craft, jazz, rep) 3-4 pm The program is Monday–Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and one or three week options are available. Additionally, an additional 5% sibling discount will be automatically implemented to your cart if you register two children. Please reach out to school@mndance.org if the discounts are not automatically implemented. Please note, Week 3 is less expensive than Week 1 and 2 due to it being a four-day week. The MDT Staff decided to not hold classes on Friday, July 3 in observance of the 4th of July. Please register your dancer based on their age. A formal placement class will take place on the first day of the 2026 Summer Program, and dancers will be moved accordingly if adjustments to levels are necessary.
