About This Activity
Description
Brass Camp gives students the chance to perform under the guidance of Dr. Karl Wiederwohl during a fun week of stimulating challenges intended to build understanding, develop technique and foster an aspiration to mature musicianship. The camp is designed for students who want to stay musically active this summer and be ready to hit the ground running as a leader in next year’s school band. Students will develop shared ensemble technique and individual playing technique while rehearsing a piece for brass ensemble, composed by Dr. Wiederwohl, written specifically for their playing level.
This camp is open to students of all playing levels with a minimum of one year of school band or private lesson experience. Family and friends are invited to attend the students’ ensemble concert on the last day of camp.
