About This Activity
Description
Take a musical journey around the world!
In the fall, Musical World students explore African, Central American, Caribbean, Hawaiian, and South American cultures through songs, folk tales, visual art and ethnic instruments. Also, American styles of music will be studied including: Native American, Country Western, Appalachian, Jazz and Hip Hop. Children expand their musical knowledge by learning to read rhythmic notation, playing rhythm instruments and creating through improvisation. Musical World is a great next step to further prepare for instrument-specific study.
Yearlong curriculum -- join us again in the spring to visit more countries and cultures!
