Description
MacPhail Center for Music is excited to continue the partnership with Wayzata Community Education. Our string instructors provide after-school and evening cello and violin lessons to students in grades 2-5.Do I need to have my own instrument?Yes. You are also responsible for supplying your own music stand and purchasing your own music books.
Can I rent an instrument from Community Ed?We have a limited supply of instruments. Contact Community Ed at 763-745-5200 to check on availability and arrange an appointment to be fitted.
Where are lessons located?Greenwood Elementary & Gleason Lake Elementary
What is the time commitment?• 24 lessons from late-October through early-Mayo Small group lessons (grades 2 and 3) are 45 minutes/week o Private lessons (grades 4 and 5) are 30 minutes/week• Students are expected to practice for 15 minutes, three times a week on their own.• Students participate in a performance at MacPhail in March and a May concert at Central Middle School.
What is the cost?Group lessons: $660Individual lessons: $1,180
