About This Activity
Join The Joffrey Ballet Rehearsal Director Adam Blyde for a 90-minute class that will focus on advanced concepts and exercises to further develop coordination, technicality, musicality and agility. This class, intended for advanced dancers who are secure with the terminology of a ballet class, is available to participants thanks to a partnership between Northrop and Minnesota Dance Theatre (MDT). Following class, participants are invited to a 15-minute Q&A with Artistic Director Ashley Wheater of Joffrey Ballet and Artistic Associate Joanna Mednick of MDT. Wheater and Mednick shared the stage at San Francisco Ballet, before Mednick departed for Dutch National Ballet. Cost: $20. This class is free for University of Minnesota students, faculty and staff. This class has a capacity of 40 students, and registration is required. Participants will receive a 50% off discount code to attend The Joffrey Ballet: American Icons performance at Northrop on Thursday, March 5 at 7:30 p.m.
