Level 1a (4.25 hours/week) Monday 4:45–6:00pm Ballet Technique Saturday 11:00–11:45am Jazz 11:45 AM–1:00am Skills/Technique 1:00-2:45pm Rehearsals as needed (dates TBD) Intentions: Establish placement and body alignment for ballet and contemporary techniques. Encourage full body awareness and participation in movement. Recognize and apply the proper use of the foot in preparation for pointe work. Integrate multiple ideas in movement sequences. Understand the connection between movement patterns and rhythm to cultivate musicality. Establish balance in stretch and strength. Learn classroom etiquette and build on foundational technique to facilitate advancement.
