About This Activity
LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! For our aspiring young actors, this is a value-packed opportunity that includes the fundamentals for building on camera performance. An ideal workshop style class- whether the goal is getting ready for industry experience and building a repertoire or general skills and exposure to public speaking, confidence and making friends. Self-tapes are your first impression and casting directors often decide in just a few seconds if they’ll keep watching. Training helps you feel comfortable on camera, make strong choices, and show your personality. It turns nerves into confidence — and gives you control over your auditions. In class well cover everything from the technical set up to the performance, and sending off to casting. Actors will be directed and coached, guided in technique, improvisation exercises, and gain an understanding of building character, emotions, and performance on camera. At the end of the session, each student will be given a digital link that includes the following: Key highlights and takeaways 10 fundamental acting classes Self tapes & auditioning Story and character building Monologue and dialogue practice Directing & coaching Build confidence and bring out personality Professional headshot and/or demo reel* No class on April 9th
