Grab your sunscreen and get ready for a week of beach fun! Spend each day exploring the amazing sandy shore environment from the beach to the breakers and beyond. We’ll surf and splash in the waves, dig for critters in the swash zone, and investigate the unique adaptations of the shorebird and marine mammal species that thrive on the edge of the sea. We’ll hop on a boat and search for whales in the Monterey Bay, observe marine mammal lifestyles first-hand from a kayak tour around the Monterey harbor, and participate in conservation activities that show us how humans can work to protect this wonderful environment. Campers must be able to swim. Activities: surfing basics (2 days - gear provided), whale watching, kayaking, boogie boarding, marine mammal artifacts, sand crab studies, shore bird observations, marine conservation activities Location: 3-day drop off at Del Monte Beach, 2-day drop off at Casa Verde Beach Registration includes a Camp SEA Lab T-shirt
