About This Activity
Description
Coding at a young age is an essential skill for future success. In this class, students learn by using graphical coding platforms like MIT's Scratch. Beginners to advanced can take this class. Students program interactive media projects, such as stories, games, and animations, without the need for learning a complex programming language and syntax. The activities encourage exploration of key computational thinking concepts and key computational thinking practices. Using an engaging project-based approach students have fun learning coding based on simple visual programming interface. This class is a multilevel program where students are placed based on skill and experience. Students can repeat this class, as they start where they left off from the last class. Students should be familiar with using a computer. (JO-C)
