About This Activity

Description

Internet Registration has not begun yet. Check Registration Dates in details.

This is an INVITE ONLY program. Please do not register unless you have been approved by MVF staff.

Each summer, the Montgomery Village Foundation Department of Recreation and Parks operates a C.I.T. program in conjunction with our day camps at Lake Marion, North Creek and Whetstone community centers. Successful candidates must be at least 13 years old on the first day of camp sessions to participate.

To be considered for a C.I.T. position, candidates must apply by Wednesday, May 6. Those interested may obtain the form at the MVF Office or online at www.montgomeryvillage.com; click “Job & Volunteer Opportunities” from the MVF menu on the blue bar; then select “CIT Application” from the green menu on the right.

C.I.T. applicants must attend a group interview on Wednesday, May 20.

If selected, a C.I.T. must attend a mandatory training session on Wednesday, May 27 and make a minimum commitment of 3 weeks. A C.I.T. may be placed at various MVF camp locations throughout their 3-week commitment.

Due to the limited number of C.I.T. positions, MVF can’t guarantee the placement of a C.I.T. for more than 3 weeks.

Participants will be responsible for completing the required paperwork with their schools if they wish to obtain SSL hours.

Space is limited and positions fill up quickly. For more information, contact Maggie Laing at 240-243-2338 or mlaing@mvf.org.

Hours will vary depending on assigned locations. Schedule will be provided on a weekly basis.
