About This Activity

Description

Beginner Ballet, Tap and Jazz
Ages 3-5
April 27-May 18
12 to 12:50 pm
Stedwick CC

This exciting class introduces the basic steps of ballet, tap, and jazz all in one class. Dancers will enjoy this interactive class that builds on basic movements as a combination class but is still appropriate for first-time dancers. Jazz class includes an introduction to proper warm-up and stretching the body, combined with across-the-floor progressions and mini combinations.

The Tap portion of the class will concentrate on building confidence through mastering more difficult patterns and steps. The Ballet portion of class includes an introduction to the ballet barre and positions and learning more challenging steps.

Dancers will need proper dance shoes (Canvas Ballet shoes, Slip on Jazz shoes and Mary Jane Tap shoes), a black leotard and skin tone tights. Skirts/shorts are optional.
